As a labor of love, Featherstone Garden works to help manage the local outdoor cat population in our neighborhood by paying to care for, feed, trap, and neuter/spay feline friends that hang around our garden. In the past 3 years we’ve helped care for at least 15 cats. For kittens caught at a young enough age, we have been able to find permanent indoor homes for them. For older feral cats, we participate in local Trap-Neuter-Release (TNR) programs.

In collaboration with the Michigan Humane Detroit and All About Animals we’re able to provide vet care services at a reduced rate, but it still adds up! On average Featherstone pays about $200/month to help care for and control a feral cat population that if left unaddressed, is harmful for both our local ecosystem and the cats. For your viewing pleasure, we’re sharing plenty of farm cat photos from throughout the past 5 years.₍˄·༝·˄₎◞₍˄·༝·˄₎◞
